The Women in Embodied Cognition group exists for many reasons, but three objectives stand out as central:
    1. To support women in largely male dominated fields related to 4E
    2. To emphasize marginalized areas within embodied cognition that are largely absent or ignored in 4E
    3. To prioritize first-person perspectives that give rise to, and ground, significant contexts used to analyze, develop, and substantiate 4E models.

Goals of the Women in Embodied Cognition group include:
    1. To host events that promote the objectives
    2. To encourage interdisciplinary collaborations in grants and publications
    3. To create anthologies from research that emerges from the events and collaborations
    4. Gather, and make available, information regarding women working in 4E and their research
